We have already hit many of Pittsburgh’s points
of interest but today we headed for a new venue. We went to the Frick
Pittsburgh Car and Carriage Museum and Clayton - the Frick House. The car and
carriage collection was impressive and the vehicles were all in such pristine
condition. We had an hour tour of Frick’s home which gave us a great insight
into Frick and the lifestyle of the rich during that time period. From there we
went to the Pennsylvania Brewing Company to quench our thirst. Ron and I tried the
flights which you can see were quite generous and tasty. We had to save room
though for dinner at the German Club founded by Carole’s great-great
grandfather- the Teutonia Mannerchor. It was steak night and the steaks were
scrumptious. Ron, Carole and I had the 16 oz rib eye and Earle had a filet
mignon along with baked potatoes, salad and green beans. We went back to The
Ashbridges fat and happy. Watched the Penguins again but the result wasn’t as
good this evening.
