Trip to Florida - Day Twenty four - Sunday, March 18, 2018 - Carrabelle to Crawfordville to Panacea

Since it was supposed to rain today we decided to go to church today in Crawfordville, 30 miles away. We had passed through it on our way in but didn't know if we missed anything. Turns out we didn't. The Mass was at 10:00 and we found St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church with no problem. The Mass lasted until 11:05, the priests down here seem to be a little long winded. The plan was after we would go for breakfast since we hadn't eaten at all yet. Our first stop was the Breakfast Station but there were about 20 -30 people waiting with at least a 30 minute wait. That's probably because it turns out they are the only game in town. We then tried Myra Jean's Cakes - Ok I can do pancakes - only they only do breakfast until 11:00 - I guess they don't care about the folks that go to late Mass. We had a cup of tea but I wasn't ready for anything they had for lunch so we went to find something else. The best we could do was to find a bakery and had an éclair and peach fritter but they didn't even have a place to sit. We did stop at the Walmart to pick up an ingredient that I needed for my potluck tomorrow but as far as I can see that's Crawfordville's only claim to fame. We decided to take a different route home and drove through Panacea which had a couple of seafood restaurants. We also stopped at the Wakulla Visitor's Center but only stayed a short time. Came home and had some toast and tea and watched the Syracuse game. I'm not a big fan but I was glad to see them win - they played a great game but I'll be pulling for Duke next week.  Did some reading - another low key relaxing day.
