Trip to Florida - Day Thirty - Saturday, March 24, 2018 - Carrabelle

Today was the Carrabelle Culture crawl so we waited until today to take Deb and Dave around the town. Our crawl started at the library where we received a sheet with the participating businesses and cultural points of Carrabelle. You had to visit so many in each category, get them stamped and then you could turn your sheet in to enter a drawing for prizes. At the library we received totes, earbuds, a mouse pad and cds of folk music. Then we went to the World’s smallest police station, Shop by the Sea, Rio Carrabelle, Carrabelle Junction and Carrabelle Corner. We also visited Coastal Realty, the Visitors Center, Christie’s Cottage Living and the History Museum and more. At many stops they had cookies, snacks and even wine and mimosas. We stopped for lunch at Marine Street Grill associated with Harry’s bar and ate in the courtyard. We had to wait a long time for our nachos, wings, burgers and BLT but it was a beautiful, sunny afternoon and we didn’t mind. The beers and Bloody Mary also helped. After lunch we went back and did a little more shopping at some of the places that we went through quickly the first time. We walked home and stopped briefly at C-quarters to just test the rocking chairs. At 4:30 we left for Lanark and 5:00 Mass. I did some blogging while Deb and Dave enjoyed the sunshine. At 7:15 we went to Old Carrabelle Beach to take pictures of the sunset. Another great day.
