Trip to Florida - Day Twenty nine - Friday, March 23, 2018 - Carrabelle to Bald Point State Park to Panacea

It started off a little cool this morning so we waited until 11:30 to venture out to Bald Point State Park. The day was sunny and clear though so great for the beach. We stopped at one spot and had lots of fun finding shells, mini horseshoe crabs, blue crabs, egg casings and many other interesting things. Then we went down to the end of the park and sat on a sandbar and had lunch. Eventually we had to leave since the tide was coming up and our sandbar was shrinking. We found a new place to enjoy the sun and surf. We were amused by the antics of the many hermit crabs in the area. At 4:30 we left and drove to the Coastal Restaurant in Panacea. We all had either grilled or blackened shrimp. The meal was good but the consensus was that the Pesky Pelican was better. We got our pie to take out and ate it with our tea while watching March Madness.
