Trip to Florida - Day Fifteen - Friday, March 9, 2018 - Carrabelle to Bald Point State Park and Alligator Point

Today was a Lazy morning and we slept in and then had a big breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast, and grits. We were headed off in search of a hiking trail. We went to John David Patton Wildlife Park but it was underwhelming. The trails weren’t marked or cleared so we didn’t stay very long. From there we ventured out to Bald Point State Park to see what they had to offer. It was about 22 miles away and like many of the other beaches around here there were beautiful long stretches of white sandy beaches that were basically deserted. We walked down an observation path and thankfully didn’t see any snakes, alligators or bears. With all the warning signs around here I told Ron he may not get me on many long hikes. We took our chairs and sat on the beach for a while - how peaceful. Then we drove to Alligator Point. There were some big gorgeous homes but we wondered where the nearest stores or restaurants were. We came home and had a meal of our seafood leftovers from yesterday. The Jambalaya will have to wait until tomorrow. Decided to stay in and just have a quiet evening.

That makes me feel better

So does this - not!
