Lou and Judy left about 8:30 this morning. Ron
had said his goodbyes the night before. They were off to Augusta, GA to check
out the town. Unfortunately it wasn’t what they were expecting so they went
straight home. Too bad. They could have stayed here longer. Since we needed a
few things we went to the Dollar General which is just outside of The town.
Then we went to the “heart of Carrabelle”. We were going to go to the history
museum but they weren’t open. Instead we went to an art studio where Ron got into
a lengthy conversation with the owner. We walked the River Front and continued
our exploration of Carrabelle. For lunch we went to CJs Pizzeria and had their
pizza buffet- salad bar, drink and whatever pizza you want them to make. When
Ron went to pay the bill they said that it was our lucky day and God is good
and we didn’t have to pay. We drove to a gift shop and looked around but didn’t
buy anything and then went to see what was down near Pirates Cove, a restaurant
on Timber Island off of the main drag. Pirates Cove didn’t open until 4 but we
spoke to the cook/manager and looked at the menu. He was nice but we have heard
the service can be really slow. We will try it at some time because we are not
in a hurry. We also walked to Sunset Isle RV Park to see what the sites looked
like. We went back to the condo to read and then went to C-Quarters to sit in
the rockers and watch the sunset. It was spectacular today. The owner had extra
ranch dressing and gave us 4 bottles of Marie’s Ranch dressing. The people here
have really been very nice. Back at the condo we had a wine, cheese, crackers,
and veggies and dip supper. Yum!
