Trip to Florida - Day Twenty Eight - Thursday, March 22, 2018 - Carrabelle

After a breakfast of eggs, toast and sausage we took Deb and Dave to see the Carrabelle River Walk just to give them an idea of where things are in Carrabelle. We made a short side trip to show them the bottle house and lighthouse. Then we drove to the little, historic town of Apalachicola. It is a cute town with many nice shops and restaurants. We did some window shopping but didn't really stimulate the economy. We did stop at the Oyster Bay Tap Room for a beer and some popcorn, We also made a stop at the soda fountain so Ron could get an ice cream and at the chocolate store so we could see if Oliver's was missing anything. Then we walked the waterfront and watched the pelicans go wild as the fishing boats came in. From there it was on to The Rusty Pelican for a seafood dinner. It was fun to watch the mullets jumping from the water as we ate. Ron also tried his hand at karaoke - well not really. Before coming back to the condo we went to St. James Bay Golf Course and Community just to see what it looked like. We were surprised by how few houses there were in the development. Many lots are ready to go but there are not a lot of houses built yet. That's all for today.
