Trip to Maine and Prince Edward Island - Day 3 - Thursday, September 6, 2018 - Aroostook, ME to Cavendish, PEI

Believe it or not last night Ron was in bed by 8:00 and I wasn't much behind him. I think it was the combination of our hike, the good Maine air and the Manhattan. It started raining about 6:15 am but was stopped when we got up at 7:00. We ate, cleaned up and were on the road by 8:00 without having to deal with any rain. We left Aroostook County which we had been told by various natives is the largest county in the US east of the Mississippi - I guess everyone needs something to brag about!😉 We drove about 6 hours and got to Cavendish Campground in Prince Edward Island National Park. Along the way we lost an hour - my body is so confused - I was just trying to adjust from the Pacific Time Zone. We also went over Confederation Bridge which is 9.5 miles long connecting New Brunswick with PEI. Found our campsite which is right by the water and set up with no problem. Since we hadn't stopped for lunch we went to North Rustico about 5 miles from the campground to the Blue Mussel Restaurant. We had a delicious dinner of mussels,  of course, and Ron had a scallop entree and I had the seafood cioppino!- delish. After dinner we stopped at a gift shop and then along the water to watch the sunset. The colors were beautiful and we even got to see a little fox up close. Came back to camp to read. It will probably be an early night again tonight.
