This is our last day in Sydney and we started if off at the Queen Victoria Building. We had passed it on the outside numerous times but were told we needed to go inside. It is a huge building that encompassed a whole city. The QVB was completed in 1898 to commemorate the 50th year of Victoria's reign. The building's architecture is beautiful and it is filled with high end stores, many tea shops and restaurants. Along the way we visited The Town Hall and St. Andrews Anglican church. From there we went to the Sydney Tower which is 90 stories. We decided to have lunch since it was only $7 more to have lunch and a drink than it was to just go up the tower. It takes 1 hour and 10 minutes to make the complete revolution and the views of the city and harbor are magnificent. Lunch was tasty too. Then it was on to the Australia Museum which has a variety of displays ranging from aboriginal history, the animals of Australia, minerals etc. Our farewell to Sydney took place in Darling Harbour. We went to an Italian restaurant called Baia and had their Sunset Special. We enjoyed our apps, linguine and dessert along with our drinks but the scenery really was the treat. It was fun people watching and watching the sun set over the harbor. Good-bye Sydney we really enjoyed our time here. Tomorrow it's on to Uluru aka Ayers Rock. We'll see how we handle temperatures that are 100+.
