Danube River Cruise - Days 1 & 2 - Wednesday/Thursday, October 24 & 25, 2018 - Flight to Prague, Czech Republic

The Hochmuth and Volmut Big Adventure

Our flights went off without incident - the way we like it. Our flight from Syracuse to Dulles was a little over an hour and on time. Dulles is a big airport but we found our way around and got the train to our appropriate gate. The trip from Dulles to Munich was a bit over 8 hours and although no one slept much it was a good flight. They served us dinner and breakfast with our choice of drinks even beer and wine. Munich is another huge airport but once again we navigated our way to another train and made it to our gate. The flight to Prague was only 30 minutes but for Col it seemed a lifetime as she had the seat in front of the screaming, seat kicking kid. We got our luggage and our Gate 1 Rep was there to meet us at the exit. Our hotel was about 1/2 hour from the airport during rush hour. We had about 1/2 hour to get settled and then we went down to the lobby for a welcome drink and orientation. Our guide Mira gave us the important information that we needed for our time in Prague. We then went to dinner just a block over and had a traditional Czech meal of duck, sausage, dumplings and red cabbage along with a bowl of goulash. It was really good. We were happy though to hit the sack early so we’d be ready to take on Prague tomorrow.

Waiting in 'Cuse

Enjoying Czech goulash - not as spicy as Hungarian

Great authentic Czech food - beer not bad either
