Trip to Sacramento - Week Three - Saturday, January 20 - Friday, January 26, 2018

We mostly rested up this weekend although we did make a trip to Home Depot and bought a palm and some other small household items that were needed. Chris was still recovering but on Saturday night, while Jason was at the Comedy Spot, Ron and I helped her rearranged the living room furniture.  Not sure that Jason loves it but he said it was better than the way Christine had moved it before. On Sunday the guys went to an antique furniture sale that they have the third Sunday of each month. They came back with a table that was the size of a card table until you open it up and then there is room for 6 people. It looks good and they also ordered a few pieces for by their front door to make a place to hang coats and put shoes in the entryway.

While I've been getting up early with the baby, Ron was called into action this week. Christine wanted to go back to work but she is still on pain pills and shouldn't drive so Ron has been taking her and picking her up. It also gives us access to a car but we prefer to walk if we can.  Monday Ron and I went to Target to pick up a few things and then went to Pancake Circus for breakfast. While we were doing that Ron took Chris' car for an oil change. He had washed it last week. Tuesday we walked to Pangea a nice restaurant/beer house for lunch and then had ice cream at Gunthers. Wednesday took us to the Tower Theater again to see The Shape of Water.  I know it got many Oscar nominations but it truly isn't our kind of movie - but the wine was good. Thursday I kept CJ home from day care because she had a doctors appointment in the afternoon. Jason has been home also the last few days since he has a bad cold affecting his asthma. Ron and I took CJ to the Pediatrician and she was perfect. She did cry for her 3 shots but that's to be expected and she stopped then right away and didn't  seem to have any ill effects from her vaccinations. She is still a little peanut making her own growth curve but she is proportional and very healthy. Friday Ron and I walked to Cielito Lindo a nice Mexican restaurant and enjoyed a few beers and fish tacos.

Saturday Chris and I deserted Jason and Ron and went for some retail therapy. We crushed it and bought CJ some very cute t-shirts - Grandma magnet, I don't need Super Heroes I have my Grandpa, an outfit with the planets on it and a girl power outfit; Jason some PJ's and a thermal shirt, and Chris 4 dresses, 2 pairs of slacks, 1 t-shirt and a pair of comfy but cute sweat pants. Most of her outfits will serve her well at work. After we went out to an Indian restaurant called the Curry Club for lunch. While we did that the guys watched CJ during her nap and then took her to Costco. After Jason did some more shopping at Food Source while Ron took CJ for a walk. Chris and Jason took advantage of their last weekend with in-house babysitters and went out for sushi and to a movie. I'm starting to make sure that we have everything lined up for our upcoming trip to Australia.

Somebody loves her books and her Grandpa too!

See my yeti matches my pjs

Love Gunthers ice cream - I forgot to say that Grandpa took CJ there when they went on their walk
